Corning Therapy and Living Center is holding a school snack drive that will continue until Aug. 28. Drop off location is at 831 N. Missouri Ave., in Corning. Items being accepted are granola bars, trail mix, fruit snacks, juice boxes and crackers with cheese. Please bring individually wrapped snacks, no homemade food items.
The Corning Park Elementary PAWS organization is looking for volunteers for the upcoming school year. PAWS is looking for enthusiastic and active parent volunteers to join their team. Watch out! So far, best I can tell, we have had seven fogs during August, and we have a few more days to go! If you put stock in the old saying that the number of fogs in August indicate the number of snows in the Winter, you are probably preparing for a lot of slipping and sliding around.
