Lady Bobcats close out the first half of the season with a hard-fought victory over BIC

The Jr. Lady Bobcats team closed out the first half of their season with a hardfought 36-33 victory over BIC, improving their record to 7-4 overall and 5-1 in conference play. Despite a setback the night before against EPC in a 36-24 loss, the team continues to show significant improvement as the season progresses.

Governor’s Holiday Food Drive Collects Nearly 21,500 lbs. of Food

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders today announced that her state agency-wide Holiday Food Drive collected 21,472 lbs. of food, all of which has been donated to the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance. The Arkansas Department of Corrections collected the most food out of all state agencies: 6,975 lbs. donated. The Arkansas Department of Inspector General collected the most food per employee: 13.6 lbs.

Sanders Statement on LEARNS Act Ruling

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—In response to Judge Rudolfsky’s ruling on the lawsuit against the LEARNS Act, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders released the following statement: “This news is a step in the right direction. In less than two years, the LEARNS Act has transformed Arkansas education for the better by raising teacher pay, investing in literacy, and banning indoctrination. I look forward to this latest court challenge being struck down just like all the others.”
