In recognition of Constitution Day, Sept. 17th, the fourth grade reading classes at Park Elementary conducted a thorough examination of the Constitution, with a focus on its importance and influence on the country’s governance. The classes read “The U.S. Constitution” and “We the Kids: The Preamble to the Constitution of the United States by David Catrow. They also engaged in word searches and word scrambles.
At the conclusion of the annual report, the board continued with the monthly meeting with all board members present. Minutes and financial reports were approved followed by a discussion of the recent parent/guardian survey on cell phones. An overwhelming majority of parents surveyed indicate they want us to keep the current cell phone policy as is. Mrs. Woolard shared with the board that she agrees and recommends no changes.
Two people picked the most winning games and selected the same number for their tie breaker last week. Nathaniel Miller and Tessa Stanley each chose 11 different winning games on their submitted Pick the Winner entry form. As per the rules, Nathaniel and Tessa will split the $50 prize money.
