Two new vehicles for Corning PD

Corning Police Chief Blaine McClung announced the completed purchase of two 2024 Ford Explorer Interceptors from Smart Ford in Malvern Arkansas. The city approved the acquisitions during the April 2024 council meeting. The city purchased the Explorers at a cost of $44,870 apiece. The vehicles were outfitted by M & M Public Safety and Technologies LLC, with complete federal signal lighting and sound package with OBD integration, Jotto console system, Jotto single cell transport cage and federal signal push bumper. The decals on the vehicle were done by Sign-Tech of Paragould. Chief McClung stated in May it would cost around $7,000 for each vehicle to be equipped with law enforcement decals and equipment and said, “The vehicles were a needed addition to the Police Department, and they turned out great. We look forward to using these vehicles as we serve the citizens of Corning.”
