Letter to the Editor

Dear Ms. Lowe, I would like to thank you for your outstanding piece, “The Decline of Integrity.” I happened to read it just now and was pleasantly surprised to see your very well-written long form op-ed in my local small town newspaper. 4th of July parade lineup and route planned

D.J. Herzog, Parade Chairman has been working hard to ensure that the 2024 4th of July Parade is an enjoyable event for parade goers. Participants of the Fourth of July Homecoming Parade are to get in line and be ready to make their way from Southwest Second Street to Wynn Park past spectators who line the streets. This is Corning’s year for politicians to participate in the parade. Herzog explained that politicians, beauty pageant contestants and all those riding in vehicles will be providing their own rides. He is expecting great participation from residents on floats, ATVs and bicycles, in antique cars and those dressed as clowns. Many decorated vehicles, horses and farm tractors and implements are expected to be shown. Herzog has assigned a side street for each parade category on which to meet and await instruction at 9 a.m. to merge onto Second Street.
