Well, folks I am going to take a long dive today. I will not apologize for the content of the column, but ask indulgence that you might think of what I am saying, and see if there might be some wisdom in my words.

CHS holds 2024 Commencement

Fresh-faced men and women clothed in caps and gowns entered the Bobcat gymnasium in the presence of their support systems; their families, friends, teachers and administrators. On Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 3 p.m., in what was the culmination of their K-12 educational journey; their high school graduation. They walked into the gym for the last time as high school students and exited as young adults ready for the next phase of their lives. Corning High School presented 62 diplomas to the Class of 2024 with hopes for bright futures and dreams to be fulfilled.

This week, the House addressed several key issues including state employee pay, digital asset mining regulations, and the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. SB77, which was passed by the House, outlines a temporary pay plan for state employees, including a potential 3% raise and setting the minimum salary at $32,405 per year.
