Corning PD moves to new location

The Corning Police Department has announced the city’s law enforcement department has moved into their new location at 2300 W. Main Street at the corner of Stephan Lane in the former Doni Martin Center for Developmental Services building. The police department has vacated their previous location at 308 W. Main Street across from the Corning City Hall. According to Police Chief Blaine McClung, the interior of the building has been completely renovated to serve the police department and includes living quarters for the city’s ambulance service.

Rev. Loy Culver

Rev. Loy Culver, 85 of Piggott, AR., passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Rev. Culver was born in McDougal, AR., on August 24, 1938. He served as pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard, AR., for many years, he was a master piano tuner and he enjoyed woodworking.
