4-3 record after Bobcats’ loss to Mountain View

Friday night, Oct. 6, we traveled to Mountain View to play the number 1 ranked team in the state and defending state champions. Defensively we hung in early but our offense never got on track as Mountain View proved to be too physical for us up front and quickly shut down our run game. Late in the first quarter Mountain View went up 7-0 and took a 14-0 lead into halftime. Our defense got a stop on the first series of the second half but we could not get going on offense and left them with a short field. After scoring touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters, Mountain View won 28-0. Our Senior High record is 4-3 and we will finish our regular season this Friday, Oct. 13 versus Rosebud at Bobcat Stadium.

Feature-rich lectern

Last Wednesday, a reporter asked Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders why a lectern purchased by her office (and for which Arkansas taxpayers were temporarily on the hook) cost more than $19,000, our governor replied, “There are a number of features.” It’s true that the higher-end Falcon Patriot Lectern does come with a number of features (including a built-in cup holder), but it sells for just a little more than $7,500 - https://www.ampli. com/lecterns-and-pod iums/3046-Falcon-Patriot-Lectern.
