Bobcats pounce Marshall; 58-14

Friday, Sept. 22 our Senior High team picked up a Homecoming game victory over the Marshall Bobcats by the score of 58-14. Our offense capitalized on 3 turnovers in the first half and converted all of them into touchdowns which allowed us to build momentum late in the first quarter. The offensive line: Rodney Rapert, Seth Green, Carter Williams, Casey Jones, Ethan Guthrie and Peyton Cartwright led the rushing attack to 198 yards on 20 carries. Jakob Cox had 6 carries for 71 yards and 2 touchdowns, Hayden Cox had 60 yards on 5 carries and 3 touchdowns and Colben Pettus had 5 carries for 58 yards. Through the air, Seth Smith was 5/9 for 185 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jakob Cox hauled in 3 catches for 143 yards with 2 touchdowns and Seth Green had 1 catch for 40 yards.

State Capitol Week in Review

LITTLE ROCK – Even though Arkansas has taken major steps to improve foster care over the past several years, the Division of Children and Family Services intends to do even better at recruiting foster families and providing services to children at a younger age. The division staff worked with educators, law enforcement, mental health professionals and non-profit organizations on a list of recommendations to better protect vulnerable children and strengthen families during times of crisis.
