The 1956 International 240 Utility tractor owned by Jason Liles has come a long way to be featured as the 2023 Harvest Festival tractor. Liles has a special history with the tractor first owned by his grandpa, Hermon “Pete” Liles, who bought the tractor in 1983 in Malden, Missouri. Grandpa and grandson spent hours driving the tractor around the Liles’ home place on their three acres. The tractor represents precious time spent with his grandpa and his childhood.
The Bobcats experienced their first game play in the 8-man format on Friday evening, August 18 as they traveled to Brinkley for a scrimmage game. The scrimmage resulted in a tie, 14-14. The Bobcats will face the Cougars at Rector on Monday night, August 28. The game was moved to Monday due to the high temperature predicted for Friday night. The Jr. Bobcat game will start at 5 p.m. with the Bobcats beginning at 7 p.m.

Vondel Taylor, 69, of Corning passed away August 20, 2023 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.
JoAnn Brashers, 92, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Ms. Brashers was born in McAllen, TX., on October 12, 1930. She was a retired realtor. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a member of First Christian Church in Corning.
