These activities help students build relationships with each other as well as provide them with mentors, coaches, and adults who encourage, guide, and hold them accountable. Extracurricular activities provide students with opportunities to succeed, to believe in themselves, make wonderful memories, and enjoy their school experience. Most importantly, I believe these activities offer students a sense of belonging, which is what most of us want- to belong!
