Rambling Vines

That first Thanksgiving celebration at Plymouth in the Fall of 1621 lasted for three days. Many of the foods those first colonists shared with their Indian friends were similar in kind to the foods we eat each Thanksgiving: wild turkey, goose, duck and pigeon were there to supplement the five deer the Indians brought.

Top 3 spellers earn spots at County Bee

Corning Middle School held the annual district spelling bee on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, in the high school auditorium. The participants consisted of grades 5-8. Corning will host the County Spelling Bee this year. Brown celebrates 96th birthday

Sally Brown celebrated her 96th birthday at her home at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022. Family members attending were Mark, Sarah, and Tyler Green, Danny Lynn Crossno, John Brown, and Lonnie and Susan Green. Sally was born in Cardwell, Missouri to Othar and Bettie Griggs.
