Perry Dean Motsinger

Perry Dean Motsinger, 91, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Motsinger was born September 17, 1931 in Corning, AR. He was a retired machinist who enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, travel and spending time with his family. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

Paul Beene Stovall, “Coach”, of North Little Rock, AR went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 23, 2022. He is survived by his wife Alice of 67 years, daughter Laurie McDowell (Jerry), Charley Stovall, Matt Stovall (Terri) and Todd Stovall.

Charles McNary “Mac” Ennis

Mr. Charles McNary “Mac” Ennis passed away Saturday morning November 19, 2022 surrounded by his family. Mac was born on September 1, 1947 in Doniphan, MO to Hyle and Vida Ennis. Mac proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a Viet Nam veteran. Upon returning from Viet Nam, he and his family were stationed at Camp LeJeune, NC. He was a retired pipeliner for Mississippi River Transmission in Biggers Mac married the love of his life and best friend, Charlotte Ann Johnson on November 7, 1969 at Old Reyno Free Will Baptist Church and she survives. He is also survived by his children, Mary and husband Scott, Tim and wife Jennifer, and Melanie. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jay and wife Hannah, Harlie and husband Curtis, Emily and husband Jason, Nathan and wife Kat, Mac and wife Brianna, Natalie, Austin, Audrey and Allee. His pride and joy are his great grandchildren Dason, Abbie, Emercyn, Ellie, Everleigh, Blakelee and Wyatt who is on the way. He is also survived by his brother Bill and his wife Paula, and his sister Carolyn Moore, and sister-inlaw Carol McDowell. Mac is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

This week’s thought comes from my friend Angela Hunt, up in Niagara Falls. Angela is a tour guide for the falls, and on this day in particular she had returned home to find her neighbor, Harold, upset over a red car that had been parked in a restricted area that day.

Save the Date for the Chamber Banquet

The Corning Area Chamber of Commerce has announced it is making changes to their annual banquet. The announcement declared that now that COVID-19 is allowing everyone to get back together in groups, they will be holding their banquet. The notice said, “Since everyone has such busy schedules in December with Christmas events and ball games, it has always been a hard month to host this event. Therefore, we will be moving this event to February 9th, 2023.”
