N This summer, I attended professional development that discussed the importance of students being involved in activities at school as well as in their communities. According to Education Weekly, in 2018-19 approximately 50% of students in the US participated in school sports, while 40% of students were involved in the arts or other clubs.

atalyst trevormuir.com Here’s the real learning loss caused by COVID My son went into distance learning in March of his kindergarten year, dealt with all that school was in first grade, spent second grade mostly wearing a mask, social distancing, and living by constantly changing protocols, quarantining, etc.- experiencing a new normal. Except that for him, this has always been the norm; he does not know a school experience without a pandemic.
