Dear Editor, I applaud the Lowe Down editorial on teacher wages being increased. Teachers are underpaid and underappreciated. I have often wondered how they teach 25 students at one time. We all know as society changes it has become more difficult, not to mention dangerous.
I learned something last week, I’m not for it or against it, it was just news to me. See, we have had our house sprayed for termite prevention for more than 20 years by the same firm, every year in August.
There will be a Ballot Draw for the General Election on Friday, August 26, at the Piggott Courthouse at 4:00 p.m. Opposed candidates are encouraged to attend and draw for ballot position or may send someone to draw for them.
