LITTLE ROCK – The governor announced that he would call the legislature into special session on August 8 to consider income tax cuts that would save Arkansas families and businesses almost $700 million when they take effect.
JONESBORO – When a SpaceX rocket lifts off Thursday evening at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, seven Arkansas State University students will be there, anxiously observing as their research experiment heads to the International Space Station (ISS). The launch is scheduled for 8:44 p.m. Eastern time.
As Arkansas enters the hottest part of the summer, a reminder of the risks of extreme heat to children is in order, particularly the dangers of leaving children unattended in hot vehicles. Unfortunately, multiple child deaths from hot vehicles are reported every summer. One of the most recent tragedies was the death of a toddler in North Carolina, at least the ninth hot-car fatality in the U.S. so far this year.

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful fourth. We did, we spent 10 days camping with our family at the B&B Family Reunion. I feel like I need a vacation to recuperate from all the excitement. I have a new great nephew Caden Stormes, son of BJ and Carla Stormes. We have lost more loved ones in the family, cousins Lola Holt and Edward Stormes. It seems we just can’t get a break from the loss and grief. We have our faith to rely on.
