Rapert-Poynor VFW Post #8347 will be holding a Buddy Poppy Drive on Saturday, June 4 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the 10Box Cost-Plus, Flash Market, Dollar General Store and Casey’s General Store in Corning.

4th of July T-shirts ready!
The 2022 Corning 4 of July Homecoming Picnic is just a month away and the 4 of July T-shirts are ready! This year’s shirt was designed by Katelyn Leonard, pictured above, with Khloe Grace Dinkins as the pair model the shirts. The t-shirts were printed locally by Electric Beach and are only available in white this year. They may be purchased at the Corning Chamber of Commerce along with tickets for the cash drawings. Pricing is as follows: Child and Youth sizes are $12. Adult sizes: Small, Medium, Large and XL are $14. Adult 2X, 3X and 4X shirts are $16 as are the V-neck style. Caps are being sold for $12.
Loggins elected as new ATA chairman
The Arkansas Trucking Association held Board of Directors elections at its annual conference in Hot Springs, Ark., May 11-13. Outgoing Chairman Mark Morris, president and CEO of Hamburg-based Morris Transportation Services, announced Jeff Loggins, president of Jonesboro-based Loggins Logistics, was selected to succeed him to the crowd of nearly 300 trucking professionals. “Mark served as a chair
