Lady Cats get jump on Rivercrest; 9-3

The Corning Lady Bobcats defeated Rivercrest 9-3 in a home game on Tuesday, March 15. Corning came out strong and pulled away for good with four runs in the 2nd inning. Addison George drew a walk, scoring one run, Ava Goodman doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, and Kenlie Watson doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

STATE CAPITOL WEEK IN REVIEW

LITTLE ROCK – The state Education Department has partnered with a non-profit organization called Forward Arkansas to address a growing teacher shortage in Arkansas. They have launched a new website – TeachArkansas.org – to recruit new teachers.

Ruth Aden

Mrs. Ruth Aden, 73, of Palatka, AR., passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 at home. Mrs. Aden was born December 15, 1948 in Saint Louis, MO. She was a home health nurse and minister’s wife who enjoyed crocheting, watching T.V. and loved taking care of her dogs she lovingly referred to as her four kids. She was a member of Millhouse General Baptist Church in Corning, AR.
