STATE CAPITOL WEEK IN REVIEW

LITTLE ROCK – The legislature approved a package of bills that allow greater oversight of two major health insurance plans that cover public school teachers and state employees. The new laws require the systems to maintain financial reserves, and to take steps to build up their reserves if they fall below a certain point.

The meaning of kindness . . .

What is the meaning of kindness? It means different things to different people, but most can agree that the true meaning of kindness is found in how someone demonstrates kindness. Kindness is shown through actions. It comes in various forms which can be through kind gestures, words, acceptance, or empathy. Kindness is more than being nice; it is love and it is grace. Kindness is doing nice things for people without expecting anything in return. Being kind often requires courage and strength.

Stop calling them soft skills

Entrepeneur.com put out an article (https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/305852) about the top 9 reasons millennials get fired, and the top five are the need for independence, lack of confidence, anxiety, miscommunication, and that they lack vision. The main reason millennials get fired is because they can’t collaborate, they lack confidence in themselves and their decisions- which can lead to anxiety, they struggle presenting and communicating, and are not critically thinking to see overall goals and vision.
