Ona Dean Denton, 94, of Corning passed away January 10, 2022 at Corning Therapy and Living Center. Mrs. Denton was born May 11, 1927 in Datto, the daughter of the late Hilam and Elizabeth Bertha (Hawkins) Denton. She was retired from ARKLA Gas Company and was a member of Red Hat Society.

1 cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 large egg, at room temperature 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extrac 3/4 cup lightly packed freshly grated carrots 1/3 cup raisins 1/3 cup chopped walnuts Makes 22 cookies 1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
