Ladd retires from Street Dept.
David Ladd has worked for the City of Corning for 23 years. His last day is Friday, August 28th. He has big plans after he leaves his job as Street Department Supervisor. “I’m going to build a shop, first thing. Once I get the shop built, I’m thinking about starting the motorcycle up and me and Judy are going to go riding for a while. We’re just going to drive a little bit and look around. We want to go back to the Smoky Mountains.”
On August 20, 2020 at noon, City Hall and city employees celebrated Ladd’s retirement with a luncheon. City Clerk J’anna Couch presented David with a gift, a toilet paper holder shaped like a pistol with money wrapped around the cardboard tube.
