Deta Rose Chappell graduated Saturday, May 16 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lyon College. Miss Chappell majored in Mathematics and minored in Computer Science. Deta was awarded the Citizenship Award as a member of Mortar Board society, the Order of the Tartan that recognizes college seniors for superior achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service. She was also in the Chi Beta Phi, a Math and Science Honor Society; Alpha Psi Omega, a National Theatre Honor Society and Kappa Delta Pi, an International Honor Society in Education. Little Rock, AR— May 5, 2020 — Each May since 1988, National Foster Care Month has raised awareness of the needs of children and teens in foster care across Arkansas.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), awarded nearly $583 million to 1,385 HRSA-funded health centers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and eight U.S. territories to expand COVID-19 testing. Nearly 88 percent of HRSA-funded health centers report testing patients, with more than 65 percent offering walkup or drive-up testing. Health centers are currently providing more than 100,000 weekly COVID-19 tests in their local communities. In Arkansas a total of $4,766,433 was awarded to 12 health centers. 1st Choice Healthcare received $387,229 of those funds.
